How likely BJP going win Assembly Elections

In the state assembly elections in the year 2018, BJP could only secure one lone seat in the 119 strong assembly with 7.1% vote share. However in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 4 out of the 17 seats with 19.45% of the total votes. The BJP has also won a few crucial by-elections to assembly later signalling its growing strength. The BJP has many plans and programs to increase its base in Telangana and the BJP strongman Amit Shah has made quite a few visits to the state to augment the party strategy. Certain internal surveys indicate that the vote share of the BJP, if the elections are held now, would be around 31 %, quite a remarkable growth. But will that be enough to unseat TRS ? The answer is -“No”. The BJP has to work harder than what it has done to bridge the gap of nearly 8% vote share advantage that the TRS is currently having. The BJP has prepared a road map for the upcoming state Assembly elections with a motorcycle journey in 15 different places under the name of ‘Palle Gosa – BJP Bharosa’ which started in last July. There is a plan for 30 Union Ministers to visit Telangana in the coming months. The third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra Also started during the last month.The BJP held its national executive meeting in Hyderabad to signal party’s interest in the state. The outcome all these efforts is yet unknown and how it may translate to votes hasn’t been measured. So, it is difficult to say if the BJP will win the majority in 2023 assembly elections. But it is certain that the BJP will significantly improve its numbers in 2023. AARAA poll survey done in all 119 constituencies also indicative of the growing strength of the BJP, expected to surpass the vote share of the congress.
